Mission The Queer Collective is a group of sex and gender diverse students and staff (including questioning and allied members) at Western Sydney University. The role of the Queer Collective is to provide safe and comfortable spaces, hold fun events and advocate for more inclusive policy and practices at Western Sydney University. The Queer Collective is not a political organisation nor is it to benefit a particular identity over another. We are all individuals. Everyone has equal status and representation regardless of gender identity and sexual preference. The purpose of the Queer Collective is to provide a safe and supportive environment for all students at Western Sydney University who identify as sex or gender diverse. The Queer Collective also acts a representative of students at the Western Sydney University staff and often contribute to feedback and discussion to encourage diversity within student and campus life. It is for this reason that we aim to ensure the Queer Spaces remain a place where everyone feels welcome!
