The Student Representative Council is a Council of 24 students, elected by their peers to best represent their needs and vested interests. They fulfil a number of functions on campus, including;
• Running social events for students on campuses
• Campaigning for Student wishes and rights
• Addressing any issues that students may have and providing a platform for them to speak

Mission
The Welfare & Wellbeing Department of the Western Sydney University's Student Representative Council
organises advocacy, initiatives and campaigns around issues of student rights, welfare, housing, mental health, safety, inequality and more.

What issues do we deal with?
· Promoting cheaper food options on campus
· Mental health advocacy
· Lobbying for better university services
· Improving student access to wellbeing and health services
· Supporting students in their search for affordable housing
· Ensuring that students have support when it comes to financial issues and programs such as youth allowance
· Addressing transport concerns that students face every day
· Enabling students to be aware of and access legal services
· Making sure both university management and the government protect the interests of students
· And many more!

We do what we can to make life easier for students and improve student wellbeing from diversity, inclusion and belonging frameworks.
