What to Expect:

Join us for Diversity Fest 2025 – Western Sydney University’s biggest celebration of culture, identity, community, and togetherness.

This year’s theme, “Many Flags. One Future.”, recognises the richness of our multicultural community while highlighting our shared commitment to peace, unity, and coexistence.

A Powerful Beginning:

To open the event, at 12.00pm we invite everyone to gather for a Traditional Indigenous Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony.

This will be a respectful and grounding ceremony led by Traditional Custodians of the land, inviting all of us into the space with cultural significance and reverence.
We will begin in a circle – a sacred practice of gathering – to acknowledge that this is where the story begins.

This moment sets the tone for the day, paying tribute to the enduring connection to Country and recognising that while we come from many places, we walk together as one community on Aboriginal land.

Followed by:

🌍 The Diversity Parade
Watch or take part in a vibrant campus-wide parade featuring students dressed in traditional cultural attire, waving flags, dancing, and celebrating the cultures that make up Western.

Then enjoy:

🎶 Live Performances & Cultural Music
💃🏽 Exciting Cultural Activities
🍛 FREE Food Trucks with Global Cuisines

How to Join:

This event is FREE for all Western students!
