It doesn’t have to be suspicion, hurt, bitterness and anger. It can be about friendship, fun, mutual affirmation and love. But that requires RESPECT.
March 11. Dialogue wall launch. Kicking off a year long conversation about respect. Building EA. Reflections. Ideas. Experiences. Up on the wall. Learn from each other how we can be in respectful relationships. Join in making interactive Art that will reflect/display who we are as a community of women and men, all across the gender spectrum; all across the cultural range. Capturing an aspiration here at WSU of a culture of relationships that are positive, equitable, rewarding and safe.
From 11 March the canvas will be up on the wall in the breezeway between buildings EA and EB. This will stay up for 2 weeks and during that time we will have artists adding to the wall and students and staff can also participate and add their own art or words around the subject of respect.
Project Respect is hosted by the Women’s Collective, the student Creative society, Inclusive Communities, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Wellbeing and Belonging team.
Please join us for a special International Women's Day breakfast from 8am to 9am in the Hub, hosted by SRC and the Food Security program.
From 9am, join us over at EA and take part in the interactive dialogue wall art.
