Canberra Day Adventure

Date: Saturday, 03 August 2024

Cost: $125

Time: 7am – 9pm

Departure Time: 7am from Parramatta South Campus shuttle bus stop outside Building EA & EB (please arrive no later than 6:30am to check in board and depart on time)

Return: Return to Parramatta South Campus at Approximately 9:00pm

Professional guided transport plus commentary – 2 guides, Lunch, Entrance fees including guided tour of Parliament House, Water to refill your own water bottle

 

ITINERARY & HIGHLIGHTS

Parliament House guided tour -Including the Marble Foyer -Great Hall (subject to availability) -Parliament House Art Collection • Australian War Memorial visit  • Questacon – The National Science and Technology Centre is an interactive science communication facility

We begin our approximately four-hour journey south and into the Australian Capital Territory - home of the city of Canberra.

You will gain insight into Australia's parliament and the ways in which the country is governed through a guided tour of Parliament House. Depending on the official events of the day you could see the Marble Foyer, Great Hall and the Parliament House Art Collection.

We will visit a local park on Lake Burley Griffin for a picnic lunch together before continuing with our journey around Australia’s Capital City.

Our Australian education continues as we travel onto Questacon, Australia’s National Science and Technology

Centre, focused on supporting young people to develop the attributes, skills, knowledge and agency to thrive in tomorrow’s world.

We finish with a visit to the Australian War Memorial to pay our respects to those who fought for the freedom.

Refunds will only be issued if:

You are COVID Positive for the event date, and provide a screenshot of their RAT registered via Service NSW or PCR results from NSW Health,

You have a general sickness, and provide a medical certificate dated for the event date,

You have academic reasons such as an exam, graduation, or practical requirement, you must provide official correspondence/documents,

There are other extenuating circumstances not listed above, this will be escalated to the Events coordinator for review/approval.

We cannot provide a refund for “change of mind” or “Working requirements” as other students miss out on the opportunity to purchase tickets at the time of release due to high demand of these events.
