Join ECG – Your FREE Weekly English Conversation Group!
Practice English in a fun, friendly, and judgment-free space. Led by trained student volunteers, ECG offers casual conversations both on WSU campuses and online. All levels welcome!
Meet Matt:
Hey everyone!
I’m Matt. I have taught IELTS speaking in China for three years, guiding students to develop their communication skills and confidence. I understand how challenging it can be to adapt to a new language and culture, so I’m here to create a space where you can build skills, share experiences, and make meaningful connections. Each week, we’ll have a different theme and activity to keep things interesting. Themes might include Aussie slang, presentation skills, study strategies, or mock interviews.
For activities, we’ll dive into small talk, play language games, share personal stories, and even get into discussions or debates. The goal is to give you real-life practice in a fun and relaxed setting. Outside of this, I enjoy hiking, photography, and deep conversation. I can’t wait to learn more about you—let’s have fun and grow together in this community!
