The mission of the WSU AAYA Chapter is to give students the opportunity to engage with the Asia-Pacific region through cultural exchange, leadership development, and professional growth. We aim to build a community where students can learn about Asia-Australia relations, develop real-world skills, and connect with peers, professionals, and opportunities across Australia and the wider region.

We invite you to The Table.

Breaking down any exclusivity, we warmly welcome everyone to join and ‘have a seat at the table’. Whether you picture this table to be a dinner table or a table in a corporate boardroom, by entering this space you are open to share your ideas and experiences without judgement in a safe space. LEAD and Inclusive Communities have come together to create a series of events aimed at feeding both your mind, body and soul.

Each fortnight we will delve into a current affairs or social topic based around a question the group is looking to answer. The Community Table is a similar format to Triple J's HACK or INSIGHT on SBS. That being at its core, this is a roundtable discussion where a topic is broken down each week.

Shared knowledge, community connection and empathy is the underlying goal for these events. Previous questions included:
- Should there be things money can’t buy?
- Is education a privilege or a right?
- How can we promote a LGBQTIA+ inclusive work environment?
- How do we bridge our personal backgrounds into a multicultural student community?

So, bring along something good to eat, open your mind and be part of the conversations that challenge us to think, do and be better.

"This club is in affiliation with EWB Australia and will come under the NSW region. see https://www.ewb.org.au/explore/chapters/nsw for more information about the chapter. As a Western Sydney University club we will develop our own contributions to EWB. The aims of the Student Club are:

i. Bring together like-minded Western Sydney University Students for the purpose of improving their social and cultural experience through offering member events and activities focused on benefiting the community as a whole.
ii. Increase student awareness of sustainable development goals, and the needs of the long list of developing countries as declared by the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
iii. Give students the tools to address issues highlighted by the sustainable development goals.
iv. Help students learn how to communicate engineering knowledge to help people to lead a life free from poverty.
v. To encourage integrity, upholding of community values, sustainability, respect, learning and quality in students.
vi. To build lifelong friendships and collaboration between students based on a common desire to help others.
vii. Provide an opportunity for Western Sydney University Students to actively participate in Engineers Without Borders events as part of a formal Western Sydney University Student Club."

FOCUS WSU is a student-led Coptic Orthodox Christian community dedicated to supporting students in their spiritual, personal, and academic journeys throughout university life. Unlike other clubs on campus, FOCUS is uniquely grounded in the teachings, values, and traditions of the Coptic Orthodox Church, providing students with a faith-based community where they can strengthen their relationship with God while building meaningful friendships.

Our purpose is to create a welcoming and supportive environment that fosters spiritual growth, leadership development, service, and genuine connection among students. Through fellowship events, faith discussions, mentorship, community service, and social activities, we aim to help students live out their faith confidently, develop as future leaders, and positively impact the Western Sydney University community and beyond.

MISSION/VISION DOCUMENT/ PENSA AUSTRALIA DOCUMENT

Well-established PENSA groups on campuses and in communities, a functional national
PENSA network that enhances the spiritual, academic and socio-economic lives of members,
and effective in breaking new grounds for missions.

MISSION
We exist to mobilize students and professionals nationally for missions and networking.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
1. To establish and stabilize PENSA branches in the nation;
2. To break new grounds for missions in collaboration with the Evangelism Directorate
and Office of the National Head
3. To engage in social interventions (ie. Teaching, medical outreaches and Charity Works)
through which the Gospel can be shared.
4. To network all students, alumni and professionals across the country for fellowship and
capacity development with the view to impact their societies with kingdom principles
and values.

TASKS BASED ON OBJECTIVES
1. To establish and stabilize PENSA branches in the nations
a) To identify states & campuses without PENSA;
b) To mobilize appropriate resources with the support of existing COP structures in order
to establish PENSA in the identified state and campuses;
c) To open1 new PENSA branches in the state and campuses identified;
d) To support states to formalises their newly opened PENSA branches.
2. To break new grounds for missions in collaboration with the Office of the National Head.
a) To identify new grounds for missions in consultation with the Evangelism Directorate & Office of the National Head.
b) To mobilize volunteer students and alumni from time to time for national mission trips.
These teams of volunteers shall be called PENSA Force3 , and shall be used for groundbreaking missionary activities;
c) To mobilize host and neighboring states to support groundbreaking missions work.

1. To network all students, alumni and professionals across the nation for fellowship

a) To create a national interactive database for all students, alumni and professionals;
b) To facilitate professional networking, exchange of best practices and opportunities
within the national PENSA community;
c) To create avenues for career guidance, professional mentoring and training;
d) To combat contemporary worldviews and philosophies with biblical principles and values;
e) To emphasise the need to live out the values and principles of the kingdom of God as members of the PENSA Australia community;
f) To organise national conferences with evangelistic focus.

GO TEAM/MISSIONS STRATEGY
STRATEGIC PENSA Australia GO TEAM
1. PENSA Aus. shall concern itself with:
a) Breaking new grounds for missions in the Church of Pentecost. This groundbreaking mission work shall be targeted at both states the Church of Pentecost has not reached and unreached areas with the nation with the Church.
b) Starting PENSA branches in the nation with the Church of Pentecost.
2. In collaboration with the Evangelism Directorate and Office of the National Head, PENSA AUS shall set for itself a number of states to reach with its groundbreaking mission
activities each year. It shall also target a number of states/campuses within which to establish new branches of PENSA. PENSA Aus. shall also set for itself an annual target of souls to be won and work towards it.
3. Once a new PENSA group has been formed and formalised, PENSA Aus. shall hand over the new PENSA group to the appropriate Youth/PENSA leadership within three months
and continue its mandate of establishing new groups. Similarly, when a new church is opened through PENSA Aus. groundbreaking mission work, the new church shall be handed over to the appropriate church leadership by the direction of the Office of the
National Head within 3 months after it has been opened.
2. The gathering of appropriate information shall be done prior to the opening of a PENSA branch.
The information vital in this consideration shall include:
a) Demographics
b) Number of universities present
c) Faith-based campus ministries present
d) Mode of operation of already existing faith-based campus ministries
e) University policies and guidelines that regulate the opening of faith-based groups.
3. To help nurse the new churches to be opened through the activities of PENSA, PENSA Aus.
shall partner the states with the Church of Pentecost that are close in range to an identified location for mission. In this partnership the state(s) so partnered shall contribute human resources
to that mission.
4. The number of people to be deployed for any assignment (the strength of the PENSA Force to use will be determined by the Missions Committee in consultation with the Coordinator and the
National Youth Leader.
5. PENSA AUS may also concert efforts in helping to stabilise newly opened churches in the states through the direction of the Office of the National Head.

a. The aims of the Student Club shall be to:
i. To disciple Western Sydney University Students specifically in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition and faith (distinct from Sydney Anglicanism and evangelicalism) through SOW’s proven Discipleship Program
ii. To train, equip and mentor Western Sydney University Students in foundational leadership skills, teamwork, communication skills and ministry service through SOW’s proven Leadership and Mentor Programs
iii. To empower Western Sydney University Students to provide humanitarian and social aid and services overseas in partnership with local churches and missionary workers through SOW’s proven International Missions Program
iv. To strategically reach and serve the students of Western Sydney, connecting them with the broader SOW network both in Sydney and internationally

b. The Club shall be empowered to do all things necessary for the attainment of the aims of The Club. In doing so, The Club will adhere to all Western Sydney University policies, procedural guidelines, and directions given by staff, and at no time shall The Club bring the University into disrepute.

i. Facilitate engagement and discussion on international affairs and diplomacy among Western Sydney University students.
ii. Foster a supportive community for members to enhance their understanding of global issues and UN resolutions.
iii. Organize Model United Nations (MUN) conferences for students to discuss pressing global issues, draft resolutions and promote cross-disciplinary dialogue.
iv. Host workshops and seminars to cultivate diplomatic skills, develop public speaking and leadership skills.
v. Collaborate with other student clubs to address global challenges such as climate change, promote diplomacy, and advocate for peaceful conflict resolution.
