CBM Penrith is a group of Jesus-believing, Bible-reading students. People from any church or none at all are welcome to join with us.

We meet throughout the week to read the Bible, pray, and think about what it means to follow Jesus. The collective is open to all carers and students who have sensory, intellectual, physical, mental and/or other disabilities or chronic health conditions. The role of the Disability Collective is to remove discrimination on the basis of having a disability and engage in activities and advocacy that will further develop accessibility and representation for/of students with disabilities at Western Sydney University.

The collective also serves to assist students within the university with a disability or carer role to have a presence in student representation.

"This club is in affiliation with EWB Australia and will come under the NSW region. see https://www.ewb.org.au/explore/chapters/nsw for more information about the chapter. As a Western Sydney University club we will develop our own contributions to EWB. The aims of the Student Club are:

i. Bring together like-minded Western Sydney University Students for the purpose of improving their social and cultural experience through offering member events and activities focused on benefiting the community as a whole.

The Environment Collective (EC) aims to move our efforts beyond the false dichotomy of built and natural environments, recognising the indivisibility of our ecological, social and economic realities. As signatory to the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Higher Education Commitment, Western is committed to promoting the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which means acting according to environmentally sustainable principles. We will hold the University accountable, advocating for the integrity and rights of Nature, and the physical and psychological benefits which flow from immersion in thriving ecosystems.
We have already begun to develop collaborations with the SDSN Youth chapter at Western, the student club P.E.A.C.E. Unlimited which is working towards the SDGs at Western, Hawkesbury Council Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee, Sustainable Futures, and Chaplaincy. We are implementing initiatives aimed at eradicating single-use plastics (cutlery, straws, etc) on campus, discounts for bringing your own coffee cup, avoiding use of plastic bottles at all events, changing air con / heating temperatures by 2 degrees, and installing a student-community food garden.
The EC will continue to strive to empower the Uni – and ourselves – to adopt ethical and sustainable practices for the sake of Humanity and our Home.

The Ethno-Cultural Collective is a student led body with a scope that goes beyond that of a single cultural club, but aims to create an autonomous, safe, and inclusive space for students that facilitates discussion around the politics and subsequent injustices that impact ethnic minorities and people of colour.

The International Youth and Students for Social Equality club aims to develop an international movement among students against militarism, war and social inequality. The Placements Hub, is a central team at Western that manages student compliance assessment requirements and data.

To commence a NSW Health placement, students must produce evidence of current immunisation or vaccination against infectious diseases.

Students MUST be assessed, and as an outcome of your assessment you may be deemed 'Compliant', 'Temporary Compliant' or 'Not Compliant'.

It is a mandatory requirement for your NSW Health placement, and you cannot attend your placement without it. The Student Compliance team is here to assist you.

1. PENSA Aus. shall concern itself with:
a) Breaking new grounds for missions in the Church of Pentecost. This groundbreaking mission work shall be targeted at both states the Church of Pentecost has not reached and unreached areas with the nation with the Church.
b) Starting PENSA branches in the nation with the Church of Pentecost.
2. In collaboration with the Evangelism Directorate and Office of the National Head, PENSA AUS shall set for itself a number of states to reach with its groundbreaking mission
activities each year. It shall also target a number of states/campuses within which to establish new branches of PENSA. PENSA Aus. shall also set for itself an annual target of souls to be won and work towards it.
3. Once a new PENSA group has been formed and formalised, PENSA Aus. shall hand over the new PENSA group to the appropriate Youth/PENSA leadership within three months
and continue its mandate of establishing new groups. Similarly, when a new church is opened through PENSA Aus. groundbreaking mission work, the new church shall be handed over to the appropriate church leadership by the direction of the Office of the
National Head within 3 months after it has been opened.
2. The gathering of appropriate information shall be done prior to the opening of a PENSA branch.
The information vital in this consideration shall include:
a) Demographics
b) Number of universities present
c) Faith-based campus ministries present
d) Mode of operation of already existing faith-based campus ministries
e) University policies and guidelines that regulate the opening of faith-based groups.
3. To help nurse the new churches to be opened through the activities of PENSA, PENSA Aus.
shall partner the states with the Church of Pentecost that are close in range to an identified location for mission. In this partnership the state(s) so partnered shall contribute human resources
to that mission.
4. The number of people to be deployed for any assignment (the strength of the PENSA Force to use will be determined by the Missions Committee in consultation with the Coordinator and the
National Youth Leader.
5. PENSA AUS may also concert efforts in helping to stabilise newly opened churches in the states through the direction of the Office of the National Head.

Capitalism is a system of competition, crisis, and war based on exploitation of workers, producing for profit not human needs. Although workers create society’s wealth, they have no control over production or distribution. Through environmental degradation and climate change capitalism has become a threat to humanity’s future and life on earth.

Socialism cannot be introduced from above, by parliament or parties. The emancipation of the working class is the act of the working class itself. Solidarity is an organisation of activists, anti-capitalists and revolutionary socialists committed to socialism
from below.

We are part of the International Socialist Tendency. A democratic revolutionary party is necessary to deepen resistance to capitalism and to build a movement to
overthrow the system. Solidarity members are beginning to build such a party out of today’s struggles against the system.

The working class has the power to challenge the existing system and create a better world. We stand for socialism, a society based on democratically elected workers councils which would control and plan the economy to produce for human need. The authoritarian states like Russia and China are not socialist but forms of state capitalism where workers have no power.

What about elections and parliament?
Parliament, the army, the police and the courts are institutions of the capitalist state that maintain the dominance of the ruling class over the rest of society. The capitalist state cannot be taken over and used by the working class, it must be smashed. Workers need to create their own state based on workers councils. While parliament can be a platform for socialists, real change doesn’t come through parliament. It is won by mass action in strikes, protests and demonstrations.

We are internationalists
The struggle for socialism has no national boundaries. We oppose everything that turns workers from one country against those from another; we campaign for solidarity with workers in other countries. We oppose borders and immigration controls, and welcome migrants and refugees.
We oppose imperialism and support all genuine national liberation struggles.

We oppose Australian nationalism. Australia is an imperialist power established through genocide on stolen Indigenous land. We support the continuing struggles of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for land, justice and self-determination.

Oppression and liberation
We oppose sexism, racism, homophobia and transphobia. We fight against all forms of discrimination and the oppression of women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, migrants, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people. We oppose discrimination against Muslims and people from the Middle East.

Linking up the struggles
We are active building movements for environmental and social change and economic equality. We are active in our unions and work to build the organisation and self-confidence of the rank and file. We work to bring activists together to strengthen each movement and build a common struggle against capitalism.

Western Sydney University Muslim Students’ Association (WSMSA) is the official representative body of Muslims on campus. WSMSA operates on a cross-campus level.

On the Parramatta campus, WSMSA aims to:

- Cater to the needs of Muslims on campus and foster an Islamic environment;

- Propogate Islam and its understanding, to both Muslims and non-Muslims

WSMSA Parramatta seeks to achieve these objectives through maintaining the prayer room for all Muslims to use, arranging both social and religious events, and breaking-down barriers between Muslims and non-Muslims. We also barrack for the provision of halal food for Muslims on campus, . These things, amongst many others, are done to accommodate the needs of Muslims on campus.

We also hold events and initiatives to promote Islam. These events focus on a variety of topics, from core Islamic matters central to every Muslim, to the controversial topics that flourish the headlines. Through this, we aim to educate Muslims and non-Muslims about Islam so that they may gain a sound and thorough understanding, as we seek to engage in intellectual discourse with all manner of other faiths.

We hope that WSMSA Parramatta can serve and assist the student population by engaging as a dynamic and creative student body on the basis of Islam.
